More Walkabout

Lilacs are now in bloom, seen on residential lots and what appear to be volunteers, some very mature, on empty lots. The color is so sweet, and the blooms last quite a long time in this cool climate.
Sunny days will soon dry them out, along with the poppies, and the daisies begin their cycle next.

Architectural detail again.

And more, on the same house.

This is a small bungalow, neat, well maintained, with lace curtains and shutters that form a nice geometric picture.

This cabin is representative of several structures around town; this one is very sound looking.
Note the small fir trees are surrounded by wire cages to prevent damage by deer who wander the town looking for an easy meal. Flowers are a prime target. Those of us in the rv park who "do" flowers find ours riddled periodically by deer, but I find they don't care for geraniums so that's my favorite.
